Sheila Lavaughn Tassey

SHEILA LAVAUGHN TASSEY, 58, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Saturday, December 24, 2022, at her home. Sheila was born on October 1, 1964, in Steubenville, OH a daughter of the late R. Edmond Gerrard and Alicia (Williams) Vincent of Follansbee, WV. Sheila graduated from Brooke High School and was a homemaker. Sheila was Christian by faith and loved spending time with her family and grandchildren. In addition to her mother, Sheila is survived by her beloved husband of 25 years, Joe Tassey at home; two children, Kristen Vicars of Columbus, OH, Matthew (Jaqueline) Hickey of Steubenville, OH; two brothers, Duane (Amy) Gerrard of Follansbee, WV, Russell (Dana) Gerrard of Wellsburg, WV; five grandchildren, Nicholas, Leah, Kendall, Logan, Harper; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 until the time of the memorial service, with Pastor Bill Helsel officiating, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment was held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Mullenbach Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.
