Joy C. Grubbs

JOY C. GRUBBS, 76, of Burgettstown, PA passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center. She was born June 30, 1946, in Washington, NC, the daughter of the late Charles and Eunice Hilton Peebles. Joy was a loving and amazing mother, grandmother, and friend to all. She enjoyed baking and spending time with her family. She retired as a server from Denny’s Restaurant, Robinson Township, PA. Surviving is her husband of 59 years, Herbert K. Grubbs; daughters, Lisa Nelson (Mike), Cristine Marie Hall (Ron); son, Brian Kenneth Grubbs; four grandchildren, Brandon Farner (Leslie), Brittany Tedrow (Paul), Kayla Banaszak, Madison Banaszak; three great grandchildren, Bristol Farner, Julianna Tedrow, Paisley Tedrow; brother, Wayne Peebles (Janet); sister, Judy Beatty; sister-in-law, Eva Marlene Simpson; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. Friday, January 20, 2023, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton, where the funeral will be held Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 11 a.m. with Bishop Albert Mitchem presiding.
