Cross Creek Elementary Holds Canned Food Drive

The fourth-grade Student Senate of Cross Creek Elementary School began their Christmas holiday by assisting Wintersville Good Neighbors with its canned food drive. Under the direction of Principal Dan Hartman and led by Brittany Shank, guidance counselor, and Student Senate Adviser Gina Miclea, the students brought cans that Cross Creek Elementary had collected for the organization as well as a monetary donation from the parent-teacher organization to the Wintersville United Methodist Church. They then checked each can for an expiration date and sorted the cans into categories. “Good Neighbors is so thankful for their continued support,” a spokesperson commented.
