Garry Ronald Upright

GARRY RONALD UPRIGHT, 69, of Weirton, WV died peacefully in his sleep at his residence on January 23, 2023, after a short battle with cancer. He was the son of the late Louise Gramer Curtis and Kurt Upright. Garry served his country proudly as a member of the United States Navy. Garry dedicated his career to helping children, he started with the Children’s Home of Kingston and ended at DFY Highland helping hundreds if not thousands of kids in the process. Garry is survived by his loving wife of forty-five years, Barbara Upright, his daughter Nicole Upright and her partner Will Sealock and his son Jason Upright. He was the loving grandfather of Caleb and Logan Sealock who made the last 15 years of his life a blessing. He is also survived by his sister Adeline and nieces Dina and Staci and his brother Sidney and nephews Curt and Carl. Garry’s request for cremation has been honored.
