Geraldine Ann (Hughes) Auber

GERALDINE ANN (HUGHES) AUBER, 87, of Wellsburg, WV, passed away on Saturday, January 21, 2023 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. Geraldine was born on October 24, 1935 in Martins Ferry, OH. She was the daughter of the late William Louis Hughes and Ida Mae (Marshall) Hughes. Many will remember Geraldine for her quiet faith attending the Franklin United Methodist Church, reading and playing the piano. In addition to her parents, Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Dale Auber and two brothers, William “Bill” Hughes and Donald Hughes. Geraldine is survived by her four children: Leslie Alan Auber of Planfield, IN, Brian Keith Auber and his wife, Nancy of Kingwood, TX, Bruce Edward Auber of Wellsburg, WV and Vincent Dale Auber and his wife, Kelly of Pylesville, MD; four grandchildren: Arianna, Erica, Dale Edward and Lillian Mae; a sister, Patricia Wells of Wellsburg; and numerous nieces and nephews. A private graveside service was held at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg, with Reverend Timothy Kelley officiating. Following the service, Geraldine was interred next to her husband.
