Jean Alberta (Blanc) Smith

JEAN ALBERTA (BLANC) SMITH, 81, of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023 at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. Jean was born on February 25, 1941 in Sturgeon, PA. She was the daughter of the late August Blanc and Alberta C. (Longstreth) Tournay. Jean was Catholic by faith. She worked for 20 years at Drover’s Inn, Wellsburg as a cook. In addition to her parents, Jean was preceded in death by her step father, Herman Tournay; and three brothers: John Blanc, Paul Blanc and Jan Michael Blanc. Jean is survived by two aunts: Rose Marie Barbetta and her husband, Frank of Follansbee, WV and Margie Cramer of Meadowlands, PA; two sisters: Elissa Strohl and her husband, Greg and Elaine Blanc; and numerous nieces and nephews. The James Funeral Home of Follansbee, was honored and privileged to assist the family with a private burial at Robinson Run Cemetery, McDonald, PA.
