Bethany College Adds New Digital Marketing Program

Bethany College is excited to announce the addition of a new digital marketing program, set to launch in the Fall of 2023.
“Bethany students now can obtain a digital marketing degree where upon graduation they will fill critical roles in a field that ranks among the top most in-demand jobs,” says Bethany President Dr. Jamie Caridi. “As technological advancements continue to shape the workplace, we have seen digital marketing become an integral piece of customer acquisition, retention and loyalty across all business sectors.”
Courses will instruct students on skills to analyze commonalities of consumers to conceptualize customer personas and write narrative arcs crucial to creating a brand image. Other aspects of curricula feature modern attributes, such as meme culture and marketing, influencer marketing and referral programs, psychology of virality, and viral contests. Courses will also educate students to use primary tools, such as marketing campaigns for sales, engagement, and activation along with best practice distribution techniques for email marketing.
“Our digital marketing program offers a path to build a foundation in the constantly-evolving marketing field. The specific digital marketing courses provide the opportunity to students to take certain credentialing tests that will enable our students to enter the market with specific skills that are sought by employers,” says Provost and Dean of Faculty Dr. Anju Ramjee. “The announcement of this program aligns with our strategic goals and innovation priorities while expanding our academic opportunities to future Bethanians.”
This new major allows students to pursue diverse opportunities while exercising curiosity and exploring consumer activity. With a degree in digital marketing, students can pursue career paths in the fields of search engine optimization (SEO), search engine marketing (SEM), user experience (UX) design, and content creation.
