Edward “Eddie” T. Chiarenza

EDWARD “EDDIE” T. CHIARENZA, 74, of Weirton, WV, passed away Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Valley Hospice, Steubenville, OH. He was born June 21, 1948 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Gaetano “Tom” and Leira “Lena” Cantini Chiarenza. Eddie was a member of St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church. He retired after 44 years as a Diesel Mechanic in the Diesel Shop of Weirton Steel Corporation. He was a member of the Weirton Steel 25 Year Club. In his younger years, Eddie was an avid guitar player and loved playing at nursing homes. Eddie was a member of many antique car clubs including Ohio Valley Classics where he loved to show off his 1965 Chevy Malibu. Eddie is survived by his loving wife, Jacqueline “Jackie” Abbott Chiarenza; stepsons, Herbert Lloyd (Dana) of Wellsburg, WV and Timothy Lloyd (Desiree) of Wintersville, OH; 2 grandchildren; brother, Carl Chiarenza (Margie) of McMurray, PA; sister, Norma Muni of Upland, CA and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place Friday, February 10, 2023, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m., at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton, where the funeral will take place Saturday at 11 a.m., with Reverend Larry Barkley presiding.
