Jesse Roberta Wade

JESSE ROBERTA WADE, 98, passed away at Weirton Medical Center after a brief illness on Sunday, February 5, 2023. She was born on October 18, 1924, in Earnshaw, WV, one of seven children born to Omri and Catherine Grim Kirkpatrick. A life-long devoted member of the Voice of Pentecost Church in Weirton, Jesse thoroughly enjoyed her days of worship. A true woman of faith and an outstanding mother, she would regularly invite people into her home for continued fellowship, making sure God’s work on Earth was always accomplished. Everyone knew Jesse as a quiet individual, she was someone who never tried to be anything more than what she was. Her reserved demeanor attracted everyone to her, people always wanted to be around her. Jesse’s love for her family will continue, and the life lessons she was well known for will forever be cherished, she was certainly one to emulate. In addition to her parents, Jesse was preceded in death by her husband Morgan Wade, who passed away in September 1983, brothers, Darrell, Leo, John, and Leslie Kirkpatrick, sisters Beryl Bradley and Maxine Kirkpatrick. Surviving Jesse with love and admiration for a long life well lived are her daughters, Roberta (Kenneth) Moores of Richmond, OH., Letha Wade of Weirton, and Barbara (Danny) Keenan of Inverness, FL., four grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren. A private funeral service was held at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home at the convenience of Jesse’s family. Jesse’s grandson Reverend Matthew Kennan officiated. Entombment was in Highland Hills Memorial Gardens.
