Anthony R. Montelione

ANTHONY R. MONTELIONE, 88, of Steubenville, OH passed away Wednesday, February 8, 2023. He was born February 24, 1934, in Hollidays Cove, WV, the son of the late Joseph and Rose Guzzo Montelione. He was also preceded in death by siblings, Helen Montelione, Antoinette Colangelo, Joseph Montelione, Bruno Montelione. He was a United States Army veteran, stationed in Korea 1956-1958; member of the 25 year club of Weirton Steel, where he retired from after 38 years as a metallurgist in the sheet mill. He enjoyed golfing, cards, gardening, storytelling. He was a jokester that was loved by many. Surviving is his wife of 66 years, Martha Stealey Montelione; daughters, Christina Matijevich (Daniel) and Michelle Rawson, all of Weirton, WV; four grandchildren, Cayla Wharton, Jamie Stewart (Drew), James Rawson, Jr. (Kate), Dawn Homan (Randy); six great grandchildren, Ava, Mayelee, Coalton, Saharah, Faith, Sawyer; sister, Diana Warchak (Barry) of Cleveland, OH; several nieces/nephews. Visitation was held on Sunday, February 12, 2023, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton, where the funeral was held Monday, February 13, 2023. with Pastor James Rhodes presiding.
