Rose A. Volpi

ROSE A. VOLPI, 94, of Weirton, WV, passed away Thursday, February 9, 2023 at Weirton Medical Center. She was born June 18, 1928 in Windber, PA, daughter of the late Antonio and Fiorella Ferrante D’Angelo. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Rudy I. Volpi (1976); and brothers, Vincent and Charles DeAngelo. Rose was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church, Christian Mothers and Weirton Housing Authority Board of Directors. She retired from Tin Mill Credit Union. Rose loved her family and held each one of them close in her heart. She was a humble and giving woman. She will be missed. We have all learned so much from her. She was our matriarch. She is survived by daughters, Janet DiLorenzo (Robert) of Weirton, WV and Joyce Miller (Dan) of Newton, AL; grandsons, Paul, Jerome, Phillip and Rudy; and great-grandsons, Liam and Stavros. Visitation was held Tuesday, February 14, 2023, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton, with a Rosary Service following. Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday, February 15, 2023, at St. Paul Catholic Church, Weirton, with Rev. Fr. Binu Sebastian presiding. Entombment followed at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
