ADULT FICTION

MIDNIGHT MASQUERADE by Marcia Lynn McClure. “Stavos Voronin was not as blind-eyed as many nobles and royals. Evony’s physical gestures — even the simplest movement of her hands — revealed that she had not always been destitute. The same was true of the children — their polished manners and knowledge of horses and tendency to be bold and fearless of strangers. Ah yes, Stavos enjoyed a good mystery. After all, interest in the inexplicable circumstances surrounding the royals of Abawyth was the very thing that had lured him to the kingdom — the enigma of Abawyth’s twelve sleepy princesses. And yet now — now his mind was all the more intrigued. Not only was the obscurity of what had caused the profound and baffling torpidity of Abawyth’s princesses laid out before him, but also he found his curiosity intensely piqued over the riddle surrounding the very lovely Evony and her siblings. As Stavos strode through the village resting on the outskirts of Abawyth Castle, his mind reeled with possibilities. His musings were drawn back to why he had come to Abawyth at all — to solve the conundrum surrounding the twelve beautiful princesses of Abawyth kingdom — to solve the seemingly impenetrable crux and thereby win the hand of one of Abawyth’s princesses, as his father, King Letholdus of Ethiarien, had commanded.” — Provided by publisher.
TEXAS HOMECOMING by Carolyn Brown. “After traveling the world, Dr. Cody Ryan has finally come home to his foster family’s ranch in Honey Grove, Texas. But all his time in Doctors Without Borders couldn’t have prepared him for the sudden blizzard that forces him to take shelter in an old barn–or for the shock of watching Stephanie O’Dell yank open that same barn door minutes later. He’s barely seen the gorgeous veterinarian since he returned, so why is she icier than the wind outside? Stephanie–better known as Dr. Stevie around Sunflower Ranch–has been treating the cattle there for years…and not one of them is as bullheaded as Cody. He’s completely forgotten how he broke her heart, back when she was a teenager smitten by his easy charm and sharp wit. But as the blizzard rages on, trapping Cody and Stevie together, it’s clear that the fire they’ve built to keep warm isn’t the only source of sparks in that barn. Once the storm passes, will Stevie and Cody discover that they’ve fallen in love …and will either of them ever admit it?” — Provided by publisher.
MONTANA MAIL-ORDER BRIDE by Janet Tronstad. There’s no future in Chicago for Eleanor Fitzpatrick and her sister–but out West, she can have a fresh start as a sheriff’s mail-order match.
