Nina Belle Blosser Meca

NINA BELLE BLOSSER MECA, 87, of Follansbee, WV passed away March 5, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center, Weirton, WV. She was born October 12, 1935, in Spencer, WV to the late Delvin and Eva Parsons Blosser Sr. Nina retired from the City of Follansbee as the office manager, and was a long-time member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she served as a Lectern for many years, Altar Rosary Society, and a volunteer for Valley Hospice, a Board member of Brooke County Center of Aging, Friends of the Library and Theta Chi Alpha Sorority. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband of 67 years, James “Honey” Meca; a son, Steve Meca (Pam); two daughters: Michalene “Mickie” Diserio and Michelle Meca all of Follansbee, WV; a brother, Delvin Blosser Jr.; two sisters: Hallie Nichols and Ruth Hornbeck; three grandchildren: Megan Pietro (Brian) New Cumberland, WV, Margo (Jimmy) Scherich of Weirton, WV, and Molly Diserio of New Brunswick, NJ; six great grandchildren: Anthony, Dominic, Luca, Olive, Lola and Violet; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will take place Friday, March 10, 2023, from 4-8 p.m., at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 10a.m., St. Anthony Catholic Church with Father Jude Perrara as Celebrant.
