JAMES EVERETT HILL II, 64, of Weirton, WV was taken into the waiting arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on March 3, 2023, with his loving wife Robin by his side at the Weirton Medical Center following a lengthy illness. He was born on June 6, 1958, in Pittsburgh the only son of James E. Hill, Sr. and Gloria Brooks. James was certainly a son of Pittsburgh enjoying all the sports that the town had to offer but he especially enjoyed watching the Steelers. A member of the Tower of Power Church in Steubenville, James was a soldier of Christ, doing God’s work on earth. James was a kind person, an immensely proud man who never knew a stranger. He found great enjoyment in being around and mentoring the youth of the area, arranging several trips to the Pirates games and Pittsburgh Zoo for the black youth and underserved and economically suppressed children of our area. James was preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory with love are his wife Robin Stuart Hill, sons James Jr., Antwan, Keshon, John, Jaden, and Giancarlo Hill, daughters Tenille (John) Hill, and Stephanie (Jerome) Hill, brothers Orlando Brooks, Donnie (Lola) Hill, James Hill, and sisters Darlene Cody, Terri Hill, James’ aunts Carol Eason and Phyllis Bruce, and his uncle Gordon (Helen) Hill, 22 grandchildren, 1 deceased grandchild, and 4 great-grandchildren, brother-in-law Michael (Terri) Stuart and the family’s special friend and caregiver, Stacy Walker, and James’s best friend Rick Doran. Keeping with James’s wishes there were no formal services. His request for cremation has been honored. Memorial contributions may be made in James’s memory to the National Kidney Foundation at www.kidney.org. Send condolences to James’s family at www.grecohertnick.com.
