NOTICE
On February 22, 2023, IC Cab, LLC filed an application for certificate of convenience and necessity to operate as a common carrier by motor vehicle in the transportation of passengers by taxi service in Brooke and Hancock Counties. The certificate would read as follows:
- To operate as a common carrier by motor vehicle in the transportation of passengers in taxicab
service between points and places in Brooke and Hancock Counties, on the one hand, and
points and places in West Virginia on the other hand. - Rates: Meter Charge $1.50 per first 1/3 mile
$0.20 per each additional 1/6 mile
Packages $1.00 per trip
Waiting Time $12.00 per hour
On March 3, 2023, Commission Staff recommended the Application be approved, if there are no protests, after proper publication.
Anyone desiring to protest or intervene should file a written protest or notice of intervention within ten days following the date of this publication unless otherwise modified by Commission order. If no protests are received, the Commission may waive formal hearing and render its decision on the application based on the evidence submitted with the application and the Commission’s review thereof. Requests to intervene must comply with the Commission’s rules on intervention set forth in the Commission’s Rules of Practice and Procedure.
