The Brooke County Libraries would like to invite the public to watch a screener that they are hosting of a documentary movie at its main location, located at 945 Main St., Wellsburg
In the shadow of the pandemic, a small town rallies to protect a beloved local bookstore in its hour of need. A landmark in Lenox, Massachusetts, The Bookstore is a magical, beatnik gem thanks to its owner, Matt Tannenbaum, whose passion for stories runs deep. Presiding at The Bookstore for over forty years, Matt is a true bard of the Berkshires and his shop is the kind of place to get lost in. This intimate portrait of The Bookstore and the family at its heart offers a journey through good times, hard times and the stories hidden on the shelves.
Hello, Bookstore, will be shown on March 30, in the River Room, from 3-4:30pm. Popcorn will be provided for the showing.
Can’t make it in person, but would like to watch the movie from your own couch? That is also possible.
Please register at https://www.brookecountylibs.org/events or by calling either 304.737.1551 or 304.527.0860 to have a staff member do it for you.
When you register, you will choose between two events: in-person or virtual access. If you choose virtual, it will take you to a registration page where Kinema – which is the platform that the libraries are using for this process- will send you a link via email before the event starts to watch the movie at the same time that attendees on-site will be!
For any questions, please contact the library.
