GFWC WV Bethany Woman’s Club recently held an inter-club activity meeting with members from the Twentieth Century Club of Follansbee. Norma Schoene, Northern District President also attended the luncheon.
Jeanne Tye Sarg of Delaware spoke and showed pictures of park benches, tables and trash receptables which were made from plastic bottle caps.
Helen Moren, President attended the GFWC WV State Convention which was held March 16-19 at the Greenbrier.
The club won first place awards in Legislation and Public Policy, Communications and Newsletter, Scholarship, Support Fund, Women’s History and Resource and its support to St. Jude’s. The club also received six second place and two third place awards and received certificates for Honor and Superior and Rhododendron Membership Award
