Bernard “Ray” Elliott Sr.

BERNARD “RAY” ELLIOTT SR., 86, passed away Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center. Ray was born on October 1, 1936, in Wellsburg, WV. Son of the late Bernard C. and Doris Charlton Elliott, He was preceded in death by his sister JoAnn Hornick (Bob- deceased); brothers Harold Elliott and Lawrence Elliott. He was the husband of Lela (Lee) Elliott whom he married September 24, 1976. They were married for 46 years. Father of Karen (Chip) Kirtchner and Bernie (Angie) Elliott. Grandchildren include Rachael (fiancé Ryan Brown) and Rebecca (fiancé Michael Hoder) Kirchner, Justin and Courtney Elliott. Surviving is sister Wilma (Gary) Roth, brother Charles (Wanda) Elliott, sister-in-law Linda Elliott and Nancy Elliott. Uncle to several nieces and nephews. Retired employee of Equitable Life Insurance and Ohio Edison Power (Sammis Plant) in Stratton, OH. Visitation was held April 13, 2023 until the time of the service at Reasner Funeral Home, Wellsburg, with Pastor Jim Seabright officiating. The family would like to thank Dr. K.
