Helen Marie Sweeney

HELEN MARIE SWEENEY, 88, of Weirton, WV, passed away Wednesday, April 5, 2023 at Wyngate Senior Living Community. She was born May 28, 1934 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Archie and Helen Strouse Loeffler. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Richard “Dick” Marion Sweeney (April 2, 2003); brothers, Richard “Dick” Loeffler and John “Jack” Loeffler; and sister, Eileen Alexander. Helen was an amazing artist and terrific golfer. She was formerly employed at Pleasant Valley Country Club and Red Oaks Country Club (Ohio) where she worked in the Pro Shop. Visitation was held Saturday, April 8, 2023 until the time of the service, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton, with Reverend Kevin L. Bowers presiding.
