Kevin Monroe Mason

KEVIN MONROE MASON, 64, of Colliers, WV died peacefully on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center with his devoted wife Beth and family by his side. Born on May 24, 1958, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Garrett and Evelyn (Gialdella) Beckelhimer-Mason. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Michael Beckelhimer. Kevin graduated from Brooke High School Class of 1976 and went on to West Virginia University to earn his master’s degree in environmental safety in 1983. He worked for Adelphi Laboratory Center as BOID Director of Business Operations in Adelphi, MD. Following his retirement in 2012 he and his wife returned to his hometown to be nearer to his family and those he loved. Kevin’s goal in life was to live for Christ and share that love with others. He was a member of the Lighthouse Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Richmond, OH. He was also an avid sports fan and loved to cheer on the Pittsburgh Pirates. Kevin was a devoted husband, brother, and friend. In Beth’s words he was her greatest gift, dearest friend, and a man who followed after God’s heart. Kevin is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Beth (Shrum) Mason at home; three siblings: Gary (Carolyn) Mason, Robert (Laura) Beckelhimer, and Doug (Joyce) Mason all of Colliers, WV; ad several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Visitation was held on Monday, April 10, 2023 and again on Tuesday, April 11, 2023 until the time of the funeral service, at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Pastor Sterling Brown, Pastor Michael Martin, and Rev. Michael Benson all officiating. Interment followed at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens.
