Lois Celia Dami

LOIS CELIA DAMI, 85, of Colliers, WV died peacefully on Monday, April 10, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on April 4, 1938, in Colliers, WV a daughter of the late Walter and Marguerite (Beck) Saunders. In addition to her parents Lois is preceded in death by her daughter, Cathy Sullivan; and a sister, Helen Saunders. Lois graduated from Follansbee High School Class of 1955 and earned her Medical Technician degree from West Liberty State College. She retired from Weirton Medical Medical Center where she worked as a technician. In her spare time she loved line dancing with friends, gardening and taking care of her dog Pepper and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren. Lois is survived by her beloved husband of 59 years, Joseph Terry Dami at home; four children: Carol (Greg) Nickoles of Colliers, WV, Terry “Butch” (Kathryn) Dami of Charlotte, NC; Dave Dami of Colliers, WV, and Danny Dami of Weirton, WV; three brothers: James (Rose) Saunders of Morgantown, WV, William Saunders of Colliers, WV, and Ron (Jeannie) Saunders of Talbott, TN; one sister, Freda Dunn of Colliers, WV; four grandchildren: Kaleigh (Art) Scherich, Terran Dami, Glory Dami, and Ruby Dami; two great grandchildren, Riley and Olivia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A graveside visitation for family and friends was held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 until the time of graveside services, at St. John Haven of Rest Cemetery, Colliers, with Amy Parikakis officiating.
