Mary Ann Dolby

MARY ANN DOLBY, 82, of Colliers, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at her home in Colliers. Mary Ann was born on June 24, 1940, in Deep Valley, PA a daughter and middle child of nine to the late Philip Glenn and Maude Delvera (Bellard) Williams. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband Richard Dolby; two sisters, Laverne Willoughby, Carol Grimm; and two brothers, Loring “Bud” Williams, and Cherle Williams. Mary Ann graduated from Weir High School and went on to earn her certification as an EMT. She worked for Weirton Geriatric as a Nurse aide and the local hospitals as a candy striper. Mary Ann enjoyed making “BooBoo bears” for the children at the hospital for many years and crocheting. She was a member of the Weirton Heights Church of Christ. Mary Ann is survived by three children: Elizabeth (Frans) Nieuwenhuis of the Netherlands, Roseanne Dolby of PA, Tina (John) Dolby-Miller of Las Vegas, NV; four siblings: Charles Williams of Paris, PA, Carren Barnhart of MS, James (Sharon) Williams of Paris, PA, and Ruth Fancher of Weirton, WV; her great niece who took care of her up until the end, Gwen (Rick) Forrester, of Colliers, WV; two grandchildren, Laura (Ryan) Todaro of Las Vegas, NV and Jessica (Brian) Truex of Follansbee, WV; five great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. All services and inurnment were held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Weirton Heights Church of Christ, 3169 Pennsylvania Ave., Weirton, WV 26062. Arrangements were under the direction of the Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
