Virginia Merlin (Halow) Geist

VIRGINIA MERLIN (HALOW) GEIST, 66, of Weirton, WV passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023 at PAM Health Specialty Hospital, Oakdale, PA. Virginia was born on June 23, 1957 in Altoona, PA. She was the daughter of the late Esophe “The Greek” Phillip Halow and Mary Alice (Reimeyer) Halow. Many will remember Virginia for her love of gardening. In addition to her parents, Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Geist Sr., daughter, Jessica Geist, an infant brother, George, a sister-in-law, Dolly Halow. Virginia is survived by her two children, Jennifer Geist and Terry Geist Jr. and his girlfriend, Margaret Stiver; five grandchildren: Kyly Birley, Jacob, Cody, Daniel and Lily Geist; four siblings: Crystal Simon and her husband, William, Sharon Blevins and her husband, Ralph, Heather Grove and her husband, Matt and Phil Esophe Halow Jr.; and several nieces and nephews.
