Donald McKinley Cummings

DONALD MCKINLEY CUMMINGS, 85, of Summerville, SC formerly of Paris, PA passed away Wednesday April 12, 2023, at TerraBella Summerville. He was born January 30, 1938, in Frankfort Springs, PA, the son of the late Donald Earl Cummings and Golda Wymer Cummings. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Ruth Mary Yates Cummings (2021). Ruth and Don enjoyed traveling. Including traveling to Scotland with Ruth, Donald Bruce, and his father, Donald Earl Cummings in 1991. He also enjoyed hunting, camping, and boat racing. They had camped in the 48 contiguous states. He was a member of Paris Presbyterian Church; Paris Sportsman’s Club; a United States Marine Corps Veteran; Past Master and Member of Richard Vaux Lodge No. 454 A.F. & A.M.; Weir High School graduate (5-28-1954). Don retired from Weirton Steel Corp., plant protection department. Surviving is his son, Donald Bruce “D.B.” Cummings (Amy) of Summerville, SC; grandsons, Donald Alexander Porter Cummings and Matthew Morgan Augustine Cummings; sister, Marjorie Smith and her son Jack Bennett. Visitation was held Wednesday, April 19, 2023 until the time of the funeral at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton, with D.B. Cummings presiding. Interment followed at Grandview Cemetery, Florence, PA.
