Donald “Don” Lee Wilson

DONALD “DON” LEE WILSON, 84, of Follansbee, WV formerly of Orlando, FL died peacefully on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at home. Donald Wilson was born on April 8, 1939, in Frankfort Springs, PA, a son of the late Charles A. and Lenora (Patton) Wilson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Helen Wilson; a daughter, Susan Wilson; a stepson, Bobby Collins; and a sister, Doris (Wilson) Wargo. Don graduated from Weir High School Class of 1957 and was a member of Paris Presbyterian Church in Paris, PA. Don was a former elder at his church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. Don enjoyed playing golf and was an avid fan of all sports. Don worked and retired from Delta Airlines where he was a supervisor. Don is survived by four children: Vicki Wilson, Robin Rawald, Sheryl Wilson all of FL, and Denise (Gary) Blanchard of NY; three stepchildren: Angela Byrd, Tammy Rogers, and Vickie Lemen; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; a sister, Norma (Ben) Copenhaver of Colliers, WV; Joyce (Joe) McFarland of Follansbee, WV; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A memorial service for Don will be held on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at 11 a.m., with Minister Rev. Naudia Stropich officiating, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Full Military Honors will be conducted by the US Army and the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad. Inurnment will be held privately. In lieu of flowers memorial donations can be made to Paris Presbyterian Church, 127 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
