Douglas Paul Sadler

DOUGLAS PAUL SADLER, 74, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Saturday, April 22, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center. Born on March 20, 1949, in Wheeling WV, a son of the late Kenneth J. and Catherine Virginia (Leonard) Sadler. In addition to his parents, Doug is preceded in death by his wife, Valerie (Lorenzi) Sadler, his son, Derek Paul Sadler and a nephew, Brian Joseph Sadler. A 1967 graduate of Wellsburg High School, Doug went on to graduate from Bethany College in 1973 with a bachelor’s in arts. He retired from Weirton Steel Corporation after 30 years of service. Doug enjoyed following his granddaughter playing softball and golfing with his brother and friends at Williams Country Club. Doug is survived by two devoted sons, Adam Craig Sadler and his wife, Beth of Weirton, WV and Justin Paul Sadler and fiancé, Jennifer Frank of Greensburg, PA; his brother and golfing buddy, Larry Leonard Sadler of Wellsburg, WV; four grandchildren: Riley, Karson, Brynne, and Tyler; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation for Doug was held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 until the time of the funeral service, at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Pastor Lori L. Jones officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. Inurnment was held privately at the convenience of the family.
