Bruce Lancaster

BRUCE LANCASTER, 62, passed away Friday, April 28, 2023. His death was untimely and unexpected due to complications from a recent illness. Bruce was a conscientious husband, father, grandfather, and brother. Bruce was a trustee at First Church of God in Wellsburg. He worked at Berry Plastics in Iowa Falls, Iowa for 28 years. The family relocated to Wellsburg in 2011. He worked at Mondi for 12 years until he retired in January 2023. He will be missed immensely and leaves behind his loving family that includes his wife of 22 years, Lourdes Lancaster; sons: Bryce of Wellsburg, WV and Nick of Iowa Falls; daughter, Emma Abbas of Iowa Falls, Iowa; stepdaughter, Louana Lopez of Wellsburg; stepson, Jacob Lopez, of Wellsburg; mother, Dorothy Lancaster of Wellsburg; sisters: Lora Smith of Iowa Falls, Iowa, Vickie Isinghood and husband Charles of Wellsburg, and Susan Swanson of Follansbee; brothers: James Lancaster and wife Hope from Iowa Falls, Iowa, Randy Lancaster and wife Kim of Weirton, WV, and Steven Lancaster and wife Melissa of Wellsburg; and seven grandchildren. Bruce is preceded in death by his father Ervin Lancaster and brother-in-law, Terry Smith. Visitation was held on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 until the time of the service, at the Bethany Pike First Church of God with Pastor Jim Seabright officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to Reasner Funeral Home LLC to help with the funeral expenses.
