Nicholas P. Konnovitch

NICHOLAS P. KONNOVITCH, 71, of Weirton, WV passed away after a brief illness at Valley Hospice Care Center North on Thursday, May 4, 2023. He was born on April 21, 1952, in Steubenville, one of two boys born to Paul and Ellen Angelidas Konnovitch. Nick was a member of the 1970 graduating class of Weir High School. He furthered his education at Duquesne University obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree from their school of pharmacy. Nick was Russian Orthodox by faith. If you knew Nick, you knew he enjoyed being a pharmacist, but his real passion was cars. He would enjoy his time at car shows, car races, or anything related to the car industry. His favorite possessions were his DeLorean and his Porsche. Nick never knew a stranger, his daughter Ronda said, “Everyone who knew him loved him.” Nick was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Gregory Konnovitch. Left to cherish his memory are his former wife Beverly Baker, daughter Ronda Vandruff and grandchildren Ashlee N. and Nicholas G Vandruff all of Weirton. Friends were received on Sunday, May 7, 2023, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, Weirton, where funeral services were celebrated on Monday, May 8, 2023, with Fr. Andrew Nelko presiding.
