Robert Lewis Johnson

ROBERT LEWIS JOHNSON, 87, of Weirton, WV died peacefully on Monday, May 1, 2023, at Weirton Geriatric Center in Weirton. Born on November 21, 1935, in West Milford, WV a son of the late Err and Ethel Johnson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Elaine Johnson who died on May 7, 2022, his son, Robert Kevin Johnson, an infant sister, and his sister, Mary. Robert retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked as a mechanic. He and his wife, Carolyn were members of the Family of God in Weirton, WV. He enjoyed many years donating his time along side his wife at the Community Breadbasket. They both had a love for helping others in their community. Robert leaves behind two special granddaughters, Ashley (Jacob) MacGregor of Weirton, WV and Tara (Gregory) Sheperd of Beech Bottom, WV; and five great grandchildren, Morgan, MacKenzie, Junior, Shania, and Grace. Visitation was held on Monday. May 8, 2023 until the time of the Celebration of Life Memorial Service, at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Inurnment was held privately at the convenience of Roberts family. Full military honors were conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Service and US Army.
