Stanley Gregory Stoner

STANLEY GREGORY STONER, 74, of Follansbee, WV died peacefully on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at Encompass Health in Sewickley, PA. Stanley was born on June 18, 1948, in Wheeling, WV, a son of the late Stanley F. and Martha E. (Fithen) Stoner. In addition to his parents Stanley is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Linda Stoner; and two sisters, Lenice Hollowell and Janice Zoeckler. Stanley graduated from graduated from Wellsburg High School and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He worked at Stone Container as a print tech. He was a member of the Wellsburg Christian Church. Stanley is survived by two sons, Jason (Kristina) Stoner of Weirton, WV, and Justin Stoner of Follansbee, WV; five grandchildren, Jonah, Quintin, Kaycee, Cooper, and Carlo; two brothers, Roland (Jane) Stoner and Bradley Stoner both of Wellsburg, WV; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Stanley was held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 until the time of the funeral service, with Pastor Ron Davis officiating, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Interment followed at Highland Hills Memorial Gardens, Follansbee. Full military honors were conducted by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad and United States Army.
