Margaret E. (Kuchinski) Bowery

MARGARET E. (KUCHINSKI) BOWERY, 80, of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Monday, May 22, 2023, at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on August 3, 1942, in Wellsburg, WV, a daughter of the late Bob Estaw and Mary Kathryn (Bannen) Kuchinski. In addition to her parents, Margaret is preceded in death by her brother, Robert Frank “Bob” Kuchinski, and her father and mother-in-law, James and Ruby Bowery. A graduate of Wellsburg High School in 1960 Margaret went on to work for Bethany College for 35 years as the secretary to the Dean of Women. She and Jim were members of the Wellsburg Church of the Nazarene where she helped with VBS, and she was also in charge of distributing Thanksgiving and Christmas baskets to those in need. In her spare time, she enjoyed taking antique car tours and were members of many antique car clubs including the A.A.C.A a 52-year member and the Northern Panhandle Region of A.A.C.A. for 45 years as a newsletter editor. She also liked baking and enjoying Sunday Meals with her family in her spare time. Margaret is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, James Bowery at home; a nephew, Robert Andrew “Andy” Kuchinski and wife, Patty of Follansbee, WV, and her niece, Susan Gehringer and husband Kenneth of Gibsonia, PA, along five great nieces and nephews, Kaylee Kuchinski, Jessica Gehringer, Kaitlynne Seminsky, Hunter Seminsky, and Jacob Gehringer; along with special friends Joanie and Neal Smith and Aaron and Beth Strope and their daughter Sadie. Visitation for Margaret was held on Thursday, May 25, 2023 and again on Friday, May 26, 2023 until the time of funeral services, at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee, with Pastor Brian Knight officiating.
