Brooke Hills Playhouse announces auditions for the last two shows of the season, which will be held on Saturday, June 10, at the Playhouse.
“Run for Your Wife,” a comedy written by Ray Cooney, will hold auditions at 10 a.m. The plot involves a taxi driver who gets away with having two wives in different areas of London because of his irregular working schedule. Complication is piled on complication as the cabby tries to keep his double life from exploding. The cast includes two women and six men.
Auditions will be held at 11:30 a.m. for “Last Round-Up of the Quacamole Queens,” written by Jessie Jones, Nicholas Hope, and Jamie Wooten. In this funny Southern-fried comedy, the Verdeen cousins of Sweetgum, Texas—Gaynelle, Peaches, and Jimmie Wyvette—are up against the clock as they frantically attempt to produce the ultimate high school reunion before the old building is demolished. The cast includes 8-9 women and five men.
Auditions consist of a cold reading of the script. For more information, call or text 304.737.3344.
