PUBLIC NOTICE FOR EMPLOYMENT

The City of Follansbee is accepting applications for a full-time City Police Officer.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, no felony or serious misdemeanor arrests, must possess a valid driver’s license, be between the ages of 18-45, pass a physical agility test which will include 28 sit ups, 15 push ups and a 1.5 mile run in 14 minutes and 46 seconds or less, and must be able to pass a background investigation and polygraph exam.
West Virginia Certified Officer and Honorable discharge Veterans will have a hiring preference.
Starting pay is $24.05 per hour and benefits include 12 hour shift schedules (two 3-day weekends per month); health, vision and dental insurance (single and family plans); paid holidays and compensation for off duty court testimony; paid sick leave; one week paid vacation after the first year of employment; and a yearly uniform allowance.
