CLYDE R. ELLIOTT, 84, of Paris, PA passed away unexpectedly and peacefully on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center. He was born November 17, 1938, in Paris, PA, the son of the late Chalmer T. “Chum” and Mildred Hanlin Elliott. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Joan Spano. Clyde was a member of Paris Presbyterian Church; Paris Sportsman’s Club; 25 year club, WSX. Clyde retired from the hot mill dept. of Weirton Steel Corp. as an assistant roller. Surviving is his sister, Shirley L. Jenkins; brothers, Charles Elliott (Josephine), Harold Elliott (Mary Ann), Floyd “Pete” Elliott (Linda); and a large loving extended family. Visitation was held Saturday, July 8, 2023 until the time of the funeral service, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton, with Reverend Nadia Stropich presiding. Interment was at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to Paris Presbyterian Church, 127 Steubenville Pike, Burgettstown, PA 15021.
