MAURY LOUIS ADAMSON, 79, of Beech Bottom, WV passed away on July 4, 2023, at home. He was born January 1, 1944, in Parkersburg, WV son of the late Forrest E. Adamson and Gwendolyn Feldman Adamson. He was preceded in death by his oldest son Todd Stephen Adamson. He was a 1961 graduate of Wheeling High School and a 1987 graduate of West Liberty State College. After high School, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and spent three years in Giebelstadt, Germany. Maury worked thirty-five years for AEP at the Cardinal Plant, Brilliant, OH. He was a coal equipment operator and spent most of his time as the tugboat operator, a job he loved. Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years, Leitha Smith Adamson; three sons: Ryan P. Adamson of Wheeling, WV, Nathan K. Adamson (Jessica) of Mount Vernon, OH, and Zane B. Adamson (Lisa) of Jeffersonville, IN; and two grandsons, Stephen L. Adamson of Reynoldsburg, OH and Gage Williams Adamson of Pataskala, OH. His wish was to be cremated. A private celebration of his life was held at the convenience of the family.
