Jeffrey Jay Ballato, Jr.

JEFFREY JAY BALLATO, JR., 38, a beloved son, father, brother, and friend Jeffrey passed away on July 17, 2023. He was born in Weirton, WV, on February 14, 1985. He leaves behind cherished memories that will forever hold a special place in our hearts. Jeffrey was the son of Gina Lorenz Bettino and Jeffrey Jay Ballato, Sr. He was preceded in death by his brother Justin Edward Ballato, who passed away on May 27, 2003, and his grandparents, Ed and Des Lorenz and Frank and Barbara Ballato. Through the years, Jeffrey faced challenges with strength and resilience, finding solace in his passions and creating beautiful moments for those around him. A graduate of Grove City High School, Jeffrey dedicated much of his life to working at Iannetti’s Garden Center. There, he flourished as a skilled landscaper, leaving behind a legacy of beautifully crafted gardens and outdoor spaces. He had a green thumb and a natural talent for nurturing nature’s beauty. Gardening was more than just a profession to Jeffrey; it was his relaxation and therapy. Jeffrey will be remembered for his warm and welcoming demeanor. His friendly nature touched the lives of many, leaving an indelible mark on everyone he met. Music played a significant role in Jeffrey’s life, especially rap music, which resonated with his soul. Beyond his talents and interests, Jeffrey’s most significant legacy is in his family. In addition to his mother, Gina (Jim Martin) and his dad Jeff, he leaves behind his two sons, Brayden and Parker Ballato, and his two daughters, Katalina,and Brinxley Ballato. Jeffrey is also survived by his sisters, Victoria Bettino (Brennan Bailey), Jordan Bettino, Amanda, and Allyson Martin. Additionally, he leaves behind his nephews, Aiden and Armani, and his nieces, Iris, and Aniya; his Godmother, Stephanie Wilson, and many aunts and uncles. Visitation was held Sunday, July 23, 2023 until the time of funeral services, at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home, with Rev. Craig Greathouse presiding.
