DAVID W. OTT SR., 74, of Follansbee, WV, passed away on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Brightwood Center, Follansbee, WV under the care of the staff with the assistance of Valley Hospice. David was born on February 8, 1949 in Steubenville, OH. He was the son of Elizabeth (Schaefer) Ott of Follansbee, WV and the late Clarence Ott. David graduated from Follansbee High School and went on to Fairmont State to receive his Bachelor Degree. He retired after 30 years of service in the Tin Mill at Weirton Steel. In addition to his father, David was preceded in death by his sister, Judy Hammonds. In addition to his mother, David is survived by his two children, David W. Ott Jr. of Wintersville, OH and Valerie Ott of Pittsburgh, PA; a brother, Timothy “Tim” Ott and his wife, Pam and a brother-in-law, Billie Jack Hammonds, all of Follansbee, WV; and several nieces and nephews.
