JOSEPH KOSUT, 83, of Weirton, WV was reunited with his wife of 56 years on Thursday, August 3, 2023, under the care of Valley Hospice. Joe was born March 21, 1940, in Weirton. He was a Christian by faith. Life member of the Colliers Sportsman’s Club. He will be missed by his friends and family. Joe was a lifelong resident of Weirton, WV and worked at Weirton Steel’s blast furnace for 30 years. Following retirement, he spent the next 30 years doing what he loved, spending time with family and fishing with friends. Joe was preceded in death by his wife Roberta Crago Kosut (2017); son-in-law, Russell Rine; parents, Michael and Marie Matula Kosut; siblings, Mike, Tom, Rose, David, and Wally. Joe leaves behind his daughter, JoAnn Rine; grandchildren, Jason Rine (Carrie), Julia Rine (Jy Yaworski); great grandchildren, Eva and Eli Rine; sister; Esther Lemasters (Lynn); many nieces and nephews, extended family, and many great fishing and hunting buddies. Visitation was held on Monday, August 7, 2023, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton, where the funeral was held Tuesday, August 8, 2023, with Reverend Craig Greathouse presiding.
