GLADYS V. BEE, 87, of Paris, PA left this earthly world to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Thursday August 10, 2023 at Brightwood Nursing Home. She was born July 3, 1936 in Steubenville, OH, daughter of the late Robert E. Rodgers and Vernadean Craig Rodgers Steiner. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Stephen A. Bee (2014); sons, Mark and James Bee; brother, Robert “Bob” L. Rodgers and infant brother, William Rodgers; maternal grandparents, William and Amanda Craig, who helped raise Gladys and Bob, along with fraternal grandparents, William and Hannah Rodgers. Gladys was a lifetime member of the Burgettstown PTA, nearly 30 years volunteering with the Burgettstown Food Pantry, Hanover VFD Ladies Auxiliary in the position of Chaplin. Gladys was a proud Methodist and was a past member of Tucker UMC and current active member of Eldersville UMC. While attending Eldersville UMC, she has served as Worship Committee Chairperson, SPRC, Past President of the United Methodist Women and led many bible studies. At any festival or special worship at the church, you could always count on her faithfulness to assist and often plan many gatherings. She was a faithful prayer team member, always praying for the church and her family and friends. Surviving are her sons, whom she loved as they gave her great care after their father’s passing, Geary Bee (Kathy) of Weirton, WV and David Bee of Winfield, WV; grandchildren, Justin Bee (Ashley) and Jessica Bee of Weirton, WV, and great grandchildren, Parker, Bailey and Sadie Bee. Visitation was held Monday, August 14, 2023 until the time of the funeral service, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc., Weirton, with Laity Servant April Kimball presiding. Interment followed at Chestnut Ridge Cemetery, Florence, PA.
