Brooke County Public Library Offers Free Library Alerts

The Brooke County Public Libraries are excited to remind patrons that it offers its patrons free “Wowbrary” email alerts that showcase the library’s newest items each week. The alerts feature the latest bestsellers, movies, music CDs, audio books, children’s titles, cookbooks, mysteries, travel guides, health books, science fiction and more purchased by the library.
“This is a great new way to enjoy and use your public library more,” says Alexandra Schneider, Director of the Brooke County Public Libraries. “People are truly amazed when they see in one place just how many great new titles we purchase each week, which they can reserve and borrow at no cost. And we cover all age groups and many diverse interests.”
Alexandra Schneider notes that the Wowbrary alerts are extremely convenient and quickly show what’s new, whether checked out or not, for both Brooke locations in Wellsburg and Follansbee, all from the convenience of one’s home, work, or school computer.
The alerts help those interested in just specific topics, as Brooke County Public Libraries Director of Educational Programs Kim Harless points out. “It only takes a mouse click to see the newest arrivals appropriate for your child or teen. There’s are separate sections and handy links for finding more items you may find interesting.”
Wowbrary alerts are free and do not require a library card. Go to www.wowbrary.org to sign up or learn more. Curated lists are also available and can be viewed on their website: https://www.brookecountylibs.org/readinglists.
