John Paolo

JOHN PAOLO, 68, of Weirton, WV passed away at his home on Saturday, August 26, 2023. He was born on January 31, 1955 and one of six children born to Benny and Angeline Orecchio Paolo. He grew up surrounded by love and laughter in a close-knit family. He is survived by his sisters Mary Ann, Betty, Romy, and Debra and was preceded in death by his parents, brother Angelo, brother-in-law Dan Coakley and nephew Richard C Bucci. Johnny was a graduate of West Virginia University. Johnny was well-known by all for his infectious sense of humor and zest for life. Mark Twain reflects Johnny’s true nature the best with this famous line: Life is short…Break the rules…Forgive quickly…Love Truly…and laugh uncontrollably…never regret anything that makes you smile.” One of Johnny’s greatest gifts was his unique sense of humor. Those fortunate enough to have known him could attest to his quick wit and playful teasing. If Johnny liked you, be prepared to endure good-natured ribbing and laughter in abundance. His presence had a way of turning ordinary gatherings into unforgettable occasions. When Johnny was asked “How are you?” He would always answer in jest “Hangin in like a loose tooth.” He will be remembered by all those who loved him as a kind and gentle soul, who always found the humorous side of life. We will all miss his beautiful smile. Now he is in Heaven making everyone laugh. A Mass of Christian Burial was held at Saint Joseph the Worker Church, Weirton, with V. Rev Fr. Dennis R. Schuelkens, Jr., V.E. presiding. Following the Mass, John’s cremated remains were placed at Saint Paul’s Cemetery.
