EVA F. FABIANICH, 97, of Weirton, WV passed Sunday, September 3, 2023 at Pam Health Specialty Hospital of Pittsburgh. She was born January 8, 1926 in Mingo Junction, OH, daughter of the late James and Blanche Stahl Hobson. She is also preceded in death by her loving husband of 72 years, Milton “Mike” Fabianich (2019); brother, James Hobson; and sister, Alice Murphy. Eva was Methodist by faith. She was a member of Campfire, Inc. and Four Seasons Seniors. Eva worked in Weirton Steel during World War II making landing mats for the military. After the war, Eva worked as a Tin Flopper in the mill, where she met her future husband Mike who had returned from the U.S. Army stationed in Nuremberg, Germany. Eva is survived by her daughters, Janice Darling (Joseph) of Amsterdam, OH and Margaret Fabianich Skidmore of Wintersville, OH; son, B. Keith Fabianich of Weirton; 5 granddaughters, 1 great-grandson, 2 great-great-grandsons, and cousin, Paul Hobson of Canton, OH. Visitation was held Monday, September 11, 2023 until the time of the service, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, Weirton, with Pastor Jennifer Darling-Mellott presiding.
