RONALD RAY DODD, 77, of Ellenboro, WV, (Pike Road Community) passed away Oct. 22, 2023, at his residence. He was born June 6, 1946, on Lynn Camp near Pennsboro, son of the late James Russell and Edna Heath Dodd.  He retired from the West Virginia Dept. of Highways after a 25-year career in Ritchie County.  He loved spending time with his grandchildren and woodworking and was a veteran of the U. S. Army. He is survived by his loving wife, Anita Whaley Dodd; children, Tony Dodd of Ellenboro, WV, Jodi McCoy and her husband David of Pennsboro, WV, and Angela Tennant and her husband John of Wellsburg; grandchildren, Jessica Jacobs and her husband Carl, Crystal Cross, William McCoy and Hannah McCoy; great-granddaughter, Skyla Jacobs; and soon-to-be great-grandson, Noah Macabee. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Roy Dodd, Max Dodd, Millard Dodd, Nile Dodd, Jimmy Dodd, Betty Blankenship, Evelyn Whitehair, Helen Snider, Nancy Dodd, Pauline Stevens and Peggy Jones. In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated.
