Andrea Francis Brown

ANDREA FRANCIS BROWN, 81, of Weirton, WV, passed away peacefully at home with dignity and grace on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. Born on May 8, 1942, Andrea was one of two children born to Andrew and Genevieve Kula Halapy. On May 15, 1963, Andrea married the love of her life, William Allen “Allen” Brown, while he was in the Army and traveled along side him. Sadly, Allen preceded Andrea in death on October 14, 2022. Their marriage was blessed with three children, seven grandchildren, and ten great-grandchildren. Allen, spent 34 years at Weirton Steel, Andrea, worked outside the home as an office worker at the Downtown Weirton Kroger Store. Her role as a cashier and office clerk spanned many years, endearing her to both colleagues and customers alike. More than a dedicated worker, Andrea was a loving wife and a beautiful, kind-hearted woman. She was as strong as they come fighting until her final moments. She brought warmth and joy to the lives of those around her. Andrea had a passion for her pets, shopping, and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, especially playing bingo. However, her greatest source of happiness was her family, and she took immense pleasure in spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Andrea will be remembered for her unwavering love, her kindness, and the positive impact she had on everyone fortunate enough to know her, including her son, David Allen Brown (Stacy), her daughters, Kristen Lynn Richards, Kelly Ann Richards (Scott), brother, Leslie Halapy (Mary Lou); her grandchildren, Matthew Brown, Amber Washington (Leslie) Samantha Anderson (Buddy), Cody Miller, Alexis Richards (Brian Spugnardi),Tessa Richards and Emma Richards (Mark Arvin); and her great-grandchildren, Bella, Ava, Theo, and Spencer Brown, Giana, Giani, and Khalea Washington, Brady and Amelia Anderson and Oliver Spugnardi.
