Highmark West Virginia Charitable Fund for Health Presents United Way with Grant

Highmark West Virginia Charitable Fund for Health presented a $25,000 check to the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley for their 2023-2024 annual campaign. Highmark has a long-standing partnership with the United Way in many ways, including corporate contributions, onsite campaigns, employee pledges, and volunteer opportunities.
“Highmark West Virginia is proud to support the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley with a $25,000 Highmark West Virginia Charitable Fund for Health grant,” said Jim Fawcett, president of Highmark West Virginia. “Community health is a key priority of the Charitable Fund, and we appreciate the impactful services the United Way of the Upper Ohio Valley provides to improve the health and well-being of the individuals it serves.”
The Highmark Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) private, charitable organization dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing, and quality of life for individuals who reside in the communities served by Highmark, Inc. and its subsidiaries and affiliates. Highmark fulfills their mission by awarding high-impact grants to charitable organizations that implement evidence-based programs aimed at improving community health. Central to the Foundation’s mission is identifying and continuously reevaluating the region’s prevailing health care needs.

The United Way is at the forefront of advocating for nonprofit organizations in the Ohio Valley, promoting giving and encouraging volunteerism.
