Earl W. Miller, Jr.

EARL W. MILLER, JR., 74 of Wellsburg, WV died peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Weirton Medical Center. He was born on February 8, 1949, in Weirton, WV, a son of the late Earl and Hilda Maxine (Coen) Miller, Sr. In addition to his parents, Earl is preceded in death by a brother, Robert “Bob” Dee Miller, Sr; a sister, Mina Marie Roberts; and an infant brother and sister. Earl graduated from Wellsburg High School Class of 1969 and worked at Magee Motors in Half Moon. He was a member of the Wellsburg Church of Christ. In his spare time, Earl enjoyed hunting and trap shooting at Brooke County Sportsman’s Club. For over 25 years, he enjoyed dressing up as Santa Claus to visit local families to spread Christmas cheer around the holidays. Earl is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Peggy (Rhodes) Miller at home; one daughter, Rebecca Miller of Grand Prairie, TX; four siblings: Carl Miller of Wellsburg, WV, Rex (Brenda) Miller of Wellsburg, Albert (Janie) Miller of Smithfield, OH, and June (Chris) Henthorn of Wellsburg; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Visitation for Earl was held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 and again on Friday, December 22, 2023 until the time of the funeral service, with Minister Harold Marshall officiating, at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
