CAROLYN VIRGINIA PALMER GAMEL, 84, of Dalls, GA passed away December 26, 2023 at home. She was born in Wheeling, WV on June 11, 1939 and raised in Beech Bottom, WV. She is the daughter of the late Carlton Silas Palmer and the late Dorothy “Craft” Palmer, former Beech Bottom residents. She was a 1957 graduate of Wellsburg High School and was a Baptist by faith. She was preceded in death by her brother, Russell “Bud” Palmer of Wellsburg, WV; brother-in-law William “Bill” Morrison of Peachtree Cit, GA; Aunts Jean “Craft” Kosky (Alex) of Bellaire, OH and Peggy “Craft” Kosky (Jack) of Bellaire, OH; Uncles Russell Craft (Frances-Dude) of Wellsburg and Mac Craft (Irene) of Weirton, WV. She is survived by her husband, Howard T. Gamel; sister, Sharon Lee Morrison of Peachtree City, GA; brother, Larry Charles Palmer, Sr. (Debbie) of Louise, WV; sister-in-law Linda L. Palmer of Wellsburg; sons Dr. Charles Brian Arthurs (Erin) of Morgantown, WV and Carlton Brent Arthurs (Vicki) of Cumming, GA; daughter, Erin Frances “White” MacIntosh (Mac) of Winston, GA; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Private services were held at the Shoal Creek Baptist Church, Cleveland, GA. Final resting place is in Shoal Creek Cemetery, Cleveland, GA.
