RICHARD ALLEN “RICK” KOLMAN, 66, of Weirton, WV peacefully passed away on February 4, 2024, at his home after a brief battle with cancer. Rick was one of four boys born to Albert J. and Mary Magdeline Ambrose Kolman. A graduate of Weir High School in 1975, Rick embarked on a career as an Iron Worker and Welder. His skills and dedication eventually led him to join his brother Bob’s business, Kolman Tile, where he excelled in his craft. Rick’s passion for laying ceramic tiles made him a sought-after professional, and he worked with numerous area contractors and private homeowners, leaving a lasting imprint on countless homes and businesses. Rick’s journey in his brother’s business wasn’t just about tiles; it was about building connections and leaving a legacy of craftsmanship. Over the years, he took the reins of Kolman Tile, steering it towards continued success and growth. Known for his mechanical acumen, Rick was a man of immeasurable skills. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, including his love for shooting guns and playing darts. His keen interest in collecting showcased his appreciation for the hobbies he enjoyed. Rick will be fondly remembered as a dedicated professional, a skilled craftsman, and a loving brother. His impact on the community through his work will endure, and his memory will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him, including his son, David, his brothers, Robert “Bob” and Kevin Kolman. There were no public services for Rick. Please remember him in your own way. Cremation took place at the Greco-Hertnick Funeral Home Crematory, Weirton.
