GARY ERMON CONLEY, SR., 77, of Colliers, WV affectionately referred to as “Pops” passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 20, 2024, with his family by his side at Weirton Medical Center. Gary was born on December 7, 1946, in Steubenville, OH, a son of the late Kenneth E. and Flossie (Leasure) Conley; In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by two siblings, Kenneth, Jr. and Elinda Conley. Gary was the owner operator of G&L Trucking and did construction for many years. He was formerly a pastor at the Elkton Church of God in Elkton, VA. Gary was a member of Promise of Victory Church of God in Weirton, WV. He loved to ride motorcycles and work outside. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, eating and especially having ice cold Dr. Pepper. Most of all he loved spending one on one time with his wife, children, and grandchildren. He is survived by his beloved wife whom he married on April 6, 1983, Alesia (Dean) Conley at home; four children, Gary Ermon (Stacey) Conley, Jr., Philip Ausby (Danielle) Conley, both of Wellsburg, WV , Kristen Clarice Conley of Follansbee, WV, and Charity Faith (Israel) Smith of Colliers, WV; six grandchildren: Ava Paige, Allison Claire, Levi Ausby, Evan Wilson, Jane Clarice Conley, and Ezra Rhein Smith; four brothers: Harvey (Paulette) Conley, Allen Conley, and Marshall Conley all of Colliers, WV, and Raymond Conley of Stafford, VA; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. A private visitation and funeral service was held at Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee. Gary was laid to rest at Franklin Cemetery, Wellsburg. Condolences may be sent to www.mullenbachfh.com.
