RONALD E. “RED” GOODMAN, 85, of Weirton, WV passed Tuesday March 12, 2024 at Weirton Medical Center. He was born September 18, 1938 in Steubenville, OH, son of the late Louis Goodman and Dorothy Yost Lester. Ron is also preceded in death by his loving wife of 62 years, Lorraine Jackson Goodman (2020); brother, Richard Goodman; and sister, Pat Yonley. Ron was a United States Navy Veteran and member of American Legion Post No. 10. He retired from Weirton Steel Corporation where he worked as an Ironworker and Truck Driver. Ron is survived by children, Melinda Goodman Woodland (Joseph Fulciniti) of Weirton, WV, Ronald E. Goodman II (Elise) of Chester, WV, and Dawn; grandchildren, John, Courtney, Evan and Nicolas; great-grandchildren, Blake, Savannah, Carter, Keira, Cameron, Cooper and Ava; brother, Robert Goodman (Brenda) of Bluffton, SC; sisters, Linda Dellenbaugh of Eldersville, PA and Kitty Sharp of Bridgton, NJ and many nieces and nephews. Visitation was held Saturday, March 16, 2024 until the time of the service, at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Home, Weirton, with Pastor Nadia Stropich presiding. Military honors were rendered by American Legion Post No. 10 Honor Guard.
